We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Building Services Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the seamless delivery of exceptional, high-end residential projects.
About the Role:
As a Building Services Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) systems in luxury residential properties are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to integrate innovative and sustainable building services solutions into some of the most sought-after residential addresses in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and manage the installation of MEP systems in line with the client’s luxury standards
- Conduct thorough assessments of building services performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-effective solutions
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and design teams to ensure services are delivered on time and to specification
- Ensure compliance with current building regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices
- Oversee maintenance schedules and coordinate with external contractors for system upgrades and repairs
- Utilise the latest technologies and sustainable practices to enhance building efficiency and occupant comfort
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the construction and post-construction phases
- Produce detailed reports, specifications, and documentation as required
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Building Services Engineer, ideally within the luxury residential or high-end property sector
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, with the ability to deliver integrated services for premium residential projects
- Up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, health and safety requirements, and industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficiency in building services design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- A degree or relevant qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered status (or working towards) with a recognised professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE, etc.) is advantageous
