The Role
As the Planned Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence and long-term sustainability of our client’s portfolio of high-quality rental properties across London. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all planned maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency. Working collaboratively with the on-site teams and external contractors, you will maintain a proactive approach to asset management, ensuring an outstanding living experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive planned maintenance schedules across the portfolio.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are compliant with health and safety regulations, building standards, and industry best practices.
- Manage and monitor budgets for planned maintenance projects, delivering cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to minimise disruption to residents during maintenance works.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of building systems to identify areas for improvement or upgrade.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service excellence.
- Report on performance metrics, progress, and outcomes to senior management.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a proven track record in planned maintenance within the property management or BTR sectors. The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience in property maintenance management, preferably in residential or Build to Rent portfolios.
- A strong understanding of building systems, maintenance processes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver multiple projects effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with contractors, stakeholders, and residents.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications in property management, engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
